Frequently Asked Quetions

 

1.What are our sound system requirements?

•For acoustic set ups, we require the following: 2 dual full range speakers,2 floor monitors, 1 12 channel mixer, 1 set sound processor, 4 mics with cables, cables and extensions, 1 lot mic stand, 4 music stands, 1 keyboard stand

 

•For full band set ups, we require the following: 2 dual full range speakers, 2 sub speakers, 4 floor monitors, 1 24 channel mixer, 1 set sound processor, 3 power amps, 1 lot mics with cables, 1 lot cables and extensions, 1 lot mic stand, 4 music stands, 1 keyboard stand, bass amp, guitar amp, keyboard stand, drumset with cymbals

•Ceremony: we usually use what the church has. There are some churches that need extra set- up. We can discuss this further.  If you are having a christian or garden ceremony, basic PA system would do.

2.     What are our other needs?

•Food: we require at least 1 meal during the reception. Rice is preferred and should be PLATED ( not packed meals ). So, plated crew meals or guest meals work best. Food count is for x members of the band plus 1 assistant. 

•Holding Room: we don’t require one, but we would appreciate it. 

•Parking Slots: most especially for hotels, we would need at least 3 parking passes.

•Space: depends on the package chosen.

3.   Do we take song requests?

•We can send you our repertoire which is comprised of 800 plus songs. You are allowed to choose from this list as well as ask the band to learn 5 new songs that are not in our regular line up.. Upon booking, you will receive a blank song template to fill up. This template has to be returned to us via e-mail two months before your wedding. We will revert to you with comments. This should include songs for guests that we will accompany.

4.  Can you choose singers?

•Yes, you can.  You are given til the end of the month from time of booking to pick your singers. Take note though that Sound Salad clients usually leave us to do the picking for them. 

5. Can you ask the band to play more sets?

• Yes, you can, with additional charges.

 

6. What is our usual attire?

•Unless otherwise specified, Sound Salad will come dressed in suits and gowns.

7. Do we attend meetings?

•If you already have a songlist to discuss, yes.
